AbstractThis study mainly focuses on the three research objectives which aim at exploring the origin and the development of hotel revenue management in China, the working contents and skills which are related to the revenue management employees, and the future career development directions from the perspective of industry practitioners.
To solve the research questions, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 15 senior hotel employees who have working experience with revenue management from full-service hotels or hotel groups located in mainland China. Data was collected through convenience sampling, and was analyzed by the method of grounded theory.
