Abstract
A study has been carried out to investigate the correlation between twist blockage between the yarn and the guide in staple yarn spinning and a range of operational parameters including twist, yarn torque, yarn torsional rigidity, tension, count and the angle of wrap over the guide. Following a consideration of the mechanism of the process, a simplified model is proposed for analysing twist blockage in textile processing.
