Abstract
Plasma treatment of wool at low temperatures was studied to determine the contents of cystine residues present on the wool fabric surface as a function of treatment time. Two non-polymerizing gases, oxygen and nitrogen were used to treat the wool fabrics. The effects of plasma treatment varied as a function of treatment time and the gas used.
