Abstract

This chapter discusses the different ways in which breathable waterproof fabrics and garments can be constructed and produced, including the use of microporous and hydrophilic membranes and coatings. The measurement of breathability and waterproofing is covered, as well as the specifications and standards applicable to such fabrics and garments.
