Abstract
We have obtained resonance Raman spectra including absolute Raman cross section measurements taken with excitation wavelengths within the MLCT absorption band of Pt(dppm)2(PhC≡C)2and the MMLCT absorption band of [Pt2(μ-dppm)2(μ-PhC≡C)(PhC≡C)2]+. We have simultaneously modeled the absolute absorption and resonance Raman intensities to obtain an estimate of the vibrational reorganizational energies associated with the MLCT transition of Pt(dppm)2(PhC≡C)2as well as the homogeneous and inhomogeneous broadening contributions to the absorption band. We compare the experimental resonance Raman spectra of the dimer MMLCT transition to those of the MLCT monomer system.
