Abstract
We present the use of an iPad, a note-taking application (app), a stylus pen and standard classroom projector facilities to enable real-time display of the iPad screen and recreate/enhance traditional blackboard-style pedagogy. Specifically suitable for subjects with heavy mathematical derivations, we report our experience in applying such pedagogical approach to the course EE3131/EE3801: Telecommunication Fundamentals at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. We discuss on learning and teaching benefits for the students and the lecturer.
