Abstract

Porous Bi2WO6 microsphere photocatalyst was synthesized via an ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) method. The morphologic and compositional characteristics of the resulting photocatalysts were studied. These USP synthesized Bi2WO6 microspheres were more active for photocatalytic degradation of NO under visible light irradiation owing to their special porous structures and high surface area compared to evaporation-induced sol-gel method synthesized Bi2WO6 counterpart.
