Abstract
A new converter makes use of two zero current quasi-resonant converters (1) which are connected in cascade. The output is regulated by adjusting the phase angle between the switching signals to the two devices. The behavior of the circuit is discussed and the equations describing its idealised behaviour are presented. Experimental waveforms are shown to be in accordance with theoretical expectations.
