Tunable two-dimensional PBG with linear defect and finite-length

Abstract

A two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguide with a finite length and a linear defect is studied by using a new developed multiple propagation series method. The waveguide has a wide & flat pass band easily tuned by changing the defect size, the incident angle or the PEG period.
