Abstract

With the end of the pandemic and the return to normal life, the volume of travel by the general public is gradually increasing. Some travelers prefer spontaneous trips, while others tend to plan their itineraries in advance in detail. However, even in such cases, unexpected events during travel, especially serendipity, often catch tourists off guard. To address this situation, this study takes a design thinking approach, based on in-depth interviews with some travelers, aiming to develop and design an application that provides flexible travel itinerary arrangements and adjustments for users. By leveraging information and communication technology to allow active users to flexibly adjust their travel plans, this application can eliminate information constraints for users, further enhance travel convenience, and improve the overall travel experience.
