Abstract
We demonstrate a dual-polarization distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) fiber laser sensor for the measurement of transverse-load. Experimental results show that the beat frequency of the laser output has an orientation-dependent load sensitivity of up to 4.07 MHz/Nm-1.
