Abstract
A technique of time-domain addressing is introduced to interrogate a four-element fiber Bragg grating sensor array. The sensor elements with different fiber delays were illumined with a pulsed broad-band source. Demodulation was achieved with an unbalance Michelson scanning interferometer. The single-channel output sensor system, which is with a sensing resolution of 6 nε, is demonstrated with a sensitivity of 1.63 °/με.
