Abstract

Bias Magnet Reluctance Motor (BMRM) is a modified form of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) and reactive stepping motor. This paper analyzes the design of the AC-bridge driving circuit for BMRM's unique distributed multi-span winding. It also summarizes the basic performance index of BMRM and compares it with conventional centralized winding method of SRM. We also illustrate the practical implementation of BMRM's distributed multi-span winding.
