Abstract
In this paper, a brushless dual-rotor motor (BLDRM) is proposed, which eliminate the side effect of slip-rings in electrical variable transmission in hybrid electric vehicle. A corresponding finite element analysis (FEA) is used to evaluate its feasibility. The dynamic model is established and analyzed. Several interesting operation modes are discussed and the whole control system performance is evaluated by simulation.
