Abstract

With the launching of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, the navigation performance of the GPS + BeiDou integration is supposed to be much better in view of more visible satellites. To validate this hypothesis, this paper intends to study the potential benefits of GPS + BeiDou integration from the perspectives of availability and integrity in the first place. Subsequently, the navigation performances of GPS, BeiDou and GPS + BeiDou are compared with each other. Results showed that GPS + BeiDou system had significant improvements in availability and integrity. However, the point position performance and single difference positioning of BeiDou is slightly worse that of GPS. In addition, both the RMS of dCLK and SISRE of GPS broadcast offset and orbits are slightly better than that of BeiDou.
