Abstract

Textile materials have lately found applications in cosmetics. Many commercial cosmetic textile products are now available in the market. This study addresses the historical background of microencapsulation technology, which is an effective technique to control the release properties of active ingredients that prolong the functionality of cosmetic textiles, and the most commonly used microencapsulation methods.
