Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to review the relationship between the structure of knitted fabric and the Ultraviolet (UV) protection of cotton fabrics. The knitting fundamental is discussed because it is the main key issue in making the knitted fabric. In addition, the effect of the three major factors, e.g., the fabric structure, fabric weight and fabric thickness, on the UV protection property is also comprehensively discussed.
