Abstract

Microbial infection poses danger to both living and non-living matters. Obnoxious smell from inner garments such as socks, spread of diseases, staining and degradation of textiles are some of the detrimental effects of microbes. Though the use of antimicrobials has been known for decades, only in the past two years have attempts been made to finish textiles with antimicrobial compounds.
