Abstract

This paper presents a quantitative multicriteria decision-making approach to teaching materials evaluation for construction courses by means of a knowledge-driven Analytic Network Process (ANP). For the evaluation of courses materials in construction education, a decision-making model named CEEM is put forward using ANP to evaluate teaching cases so as to promote applying case method in the education of construction professions. The CEEM model is built based on the standard classification codes and an embedded ANP with 8 clusters and 178 nodes. An experimental study indicates that the ANP method is effective in conducting knowledge assessment in the education of construction professions.
