Abstract

Ruthenium nitrosonaphthol complexes incorporating pendant pyridyl ligands of trans- and cis-[Ru(η2-N(O)C10H6O)2(CO)(NC5H4CHCHC5H4N)] (1a and 1b) and trans- and cis-[Ru(η2-OC10H6N(O))2(CO)(NC5H4CHCHC5H4N)] (1c and 1d) were synthesized and used as building blocks in the construction of a supramolecular system. The molecular structures of 1b and the NMe3substitution complex cis-[Ru(η2-N(O)C10H6O)2(CO)(NMe3)] (2b) were established by X-ray diffraction analysis. ũ 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
