Abstract

Treatment of [Os3(CO)10(NCMe)2] with an equivalent amount of 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridyiazo)-5-(diethylamino)phenol (Br-PADAP) in CH2Cl2at room temperature for 1 h afforded a major brown cluster [Os3(CO)10{μ-N(H)(C5H3NBr)}{μ-N(C10H13NO)}]; the compound contains two types of μ-bridging amido ligands across the same Os ⋯ Os edge.
