Abstract

A chloro-derivative of undecaosmium carbido cluster [Os11C(CO)27(μ-Cl)]-1 anion has been prepared and fully characterized by spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. The structure 1 is an important intermediate for the conversion of [Os11C(CO)27]22 dianion to [OS10C(CO)24]2-3 dianion.
