Abstract
Two new metal-coordination polymers, [Zn2(bpy)(OAc)4]n(1) and [Zn(bpp)(NO3)2]n(2) were prepared by the layering method using Zn(II) ions, bpy and bpp ligands, and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Complexes 1 and 2 were both found to be one-dimensional coordination polymers. The periodic length of the chain between two alternate Zn(II) ions in compound 1 is 26.92 Å which is more than twice the length of compound 2 (26.92>11.92×2).
