Abstract

Interactive textiles enable individual users to flexibly customize their fixed interior surroundings according to their personal preference. This proposed research explores interior textiles as both a decorative and adaptive media which can enhance the environment with surface design and transform interiors via the change of colors and luminescence. The integration of surface printing with polymeric photonic fibers (POF) fabric is investigated.
