Abstract
In this paper, we attempt to study psychological evaluating behaviors when one judge uses his eyes and brains to rate the quality grade of polar fleece fabric appearances, build a basic judging model, which is suitable to all the subjective evaluating procedure in quality control of textiles. First, we chose four different experienced judging groups to do the subjective evaluations of our research, and then we explained eight basic texture features objectively defined in our experiments to these four judging groups. After they finished the subjective evaluation of fabric appearances, we told them to select the most important features out of eight when they do their judgments, and then we extracted the essential features to describe the appearance of polar fleece fabrics scientifically. This work presents a new concept how to analyze the subjective behaviors and how to establish a scientific standard for subjective evaluation of fabric appearances. In the future, it also can be used to identify the correlations between human intelligence and computer intelligence.
