Abstract

Based on the test results of three reinforced concrete coupling beams with moderate shear span of 3.0, and referring to the test data of the first batch of tests conducted hy the authors, the effect of lateral reinforcement, longitudinal reinforcement and steel tube on seismic performance of reinforced concrete coupling beams in HongKong is examined. Combining the test results of this paper and those of other researchers, a regression formula is proposed for ultimate drift ratio of reinforced concrete coupling beams.
