Abstract

By means of the tests of compressive strength, toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) and dynamic leaching test (DLT), it was studied that the feasibility of solidification and stabilization (S/S) of heavy metals using reject fly ash (rFA). The results show that rFA-cement system is suitable for S/S after 28 days curing. And its long term effect is better than classified fine fly ash-cement system. The results also show that the ability of acid neutralization is one of the key factors controlling the leaching ability of heavy metals.
