Abstract
The traditional analytical approaches used for justification of advanced information systems focus on the accounting value of technology, rather than the economic value of information itself. It is likely due to the fact that information contains little value in itself, unless it is processed to enable changes to be made which add value. As part of research of CAD system evaluation, an attempt is made to investigate the conceptualization of incorporating the strategic issues of information value in thorough evaluation of such technology.
