Abstract
Patient-specific quality assurance is a critical component in the overall quality control of radiation treatment because it provides assurance that the delivered dose will accurately match the planned dose distribution. In particular, it is important to verify that the treatment device is physically capable of delivering the planned dose distribution and that patient setup in the treatment room matches as closely as possible the patient setup at time of simulation.
