Abstract
The Note presents a case study for the analysis of steam consumption in a hotel building in Hong Kong. Unlike in cold climates, the steam used for hotel buildings in warm climates is mainly for service hot water heating and for specific purposes other than space heating. The results from the study indicated, however, that outdoor weather conditions and hotel occupancy influence steam consumption in the hotel.
