Abstract

This paper describes the proposed 3rd edition of the IIW Static Design Procedure for Welded Hollow Section Joints, currently under preparation by the IIW sub-commission XV-E. It briefly summarizes the scope of the recommendations, the static design procedures, the research background and remaining issues to be resolved.
