Abstract
We proposed two new variational first excited states, the displaced-squeezed-states for the linear E-e Jahn-Teller system. The energy of the first exited state under two new wave functions for various coupling parameters are obtained as a comparison with the numerical values obtained by Longuet-Higgins et al. Furthermore, we take a liner combination of the two new states and better results are obtained.
