Spectral domain analysis of microstrip antennas with an airgap

Abstract

The circular disk microstrip antenna with an airgap between the dielectric substrate and the ground plane is formulated using the spectral domain method. The complex resonant frequencies of the structure is determined using Galerkin's procedure. Some available experimental data are compared with the present method.
