Abstract

We propose and characterize a dispersion slope compensator using a Fabry-Perot Etalon formed by double FBGs. Enhanced delay and dispersion by the multiple round trips of the light in the Fabry-Perot cavity are obtained using two uniform gratings, which have small delay and dispersion. The different shape of the dispersion and dispersion slope envelope can be gotten by the appropriate design of Fabry-Perot Etalon.
