Abstract

The free surface seepage problem is an important geotechnical problem. Based on the concept of 'true air element' and 'true node' developed by the authors, a simple yet efficient method of solution is proposed. The advantages of the proposed method will be demonstrated by case studies of free surface seepage flow in homogeneous as well as nonhomogeneous anisotropic soil medium.
