Abstract

As one kind of promising stimuli-responsive materials in recent years, shape memory polymers (SMPs) have found great applications in various fields. In this chapter, SMPs are introduced, followed by a discussion of their coating and laminates, in particular, temperature-sensitive shape memory coating and laminates. In addition, two main applications of SMPs - sportswear and medical hygienic applications - are discussed; finally the future outlook about SMP research and SMP coatings and laminates is assessed.
