Abstract

The prevalence rate of adolescent drug abuse arises dramatically. Many school drug abuse incidents were reported. The crisis of student drug abuse is different from other crises. Society is highly sensitive to and aware of the incidents of adolescent drug abuse. The roles and duties of the crisis management team and the crisis management plan are discussed to help schools to mitigate the impact of student drug abuse. The risk factors and protective factors of adolescent drug abuse are highlighted. The ways for schools to proactively protect the students from taking illicit drugs are also discussed. It is hoped that the crisis management framework of this chapter can provide a good foundation for schools to respond to school drug abuse incidents effectively and promptly.
