Abstract

This chapter is devoted to single-machine scheduling with assignable due dates in the framework of two-agent scheduling. In such a scheduling environment, the due dates are treated as given variables and must be assigned to individual jobs, which was first proposed by Hall [45], and studied and generalized by Sriskandarajah [96], Tanaka and Vlach [99, 100], and Qi et al. [86].
