Abstract

A novel robust adaptive wideband beamformer against arbitrary array manifold errors is proposed by employing the worst-case performance optimization technique and the frequency invariance constraints with norm-bounded errors. Its solution is given by the generalized eigenvector corresponding to the minimum generalized eigenvalue of a matrix pair. Compared with existing robust wideband beamformers, frequency response consistency of the array to the (mismatched) desired signal is improved and a higher output signal-to- interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) achieved.
