Abstract
Droplet size distribution functions for water spray as given in the literature are briefly reviewed. A new function is proposed to describe droplet size distribution. This function is derived from earlier expressions obtained from information theory. The parameters concerned can be measured more easily. Results predicted using this new function are compared with experimental data and fairly good agreement is found.
