Abstract
Literature review plays a paramount role in nursing research that can inspire new research ideas and help to lay the foundation for studies. However, it involves a huge amount of academic readings and requires certain skills on deciding on a focus topic and evaluating and organizing those findings. It is in no doubt a harsh task for the novice of research. This chapter is going to discuss the framework and the process of conducting a literature review. It provides readers with a background for understanding the importance of a literature review and what attention areas should be paid to while conducting it. After reading, this chapter will help readers to have a grip on literature review, relate the steps of a systemic search strategy for a research topic, and critically appraise the research articles.
