Abstract
地理信息系統 (GIS)在我國國家信息化、國家安全、經濟建設、科學研究等方面發揮著越來越重要的作用 .在推動我國 GIS基礎和應用基礎研究方面 ,國家自然科學基金 (NSFC)發揮了重要作用 .以 NSFC地球科學部地理學科資助的 GIS類項目為例 ,從獲資助項目數量、學術論文發表和人才培養 3個方面 ,對 1991～ 2 0 0 1年 NSFC資助的 GIS類項目進行了初步分析 ,并與同期美國自然科學基金資助 GIS類項目情況進行了初步對比分析 .為了加強我國 GIS基礎和應用基礎研究 ,提出逐步增大對 GIS的資助項數 ,支持跨單位、跨學科的優秀研究群體 ,在NSFC項目指南中增加 GIS專門條款等建議.||Geographic Information System(GIS) is more and more important in the development of information, security, economy, and research of China. The National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) has pushed ahead basic and applied basic research of GIS. In this paper, the analysis is given about the GIS projects supported by NSFC from 1991 to 2001 according to the three aspects of award program quantities, articles in core refereed journals, and the fosters of scientific talents, with the example of the programs supported by the Geography discipline of the departments of Earth Sciences. A comparison was made between the projects supported by NSFC and NSF of U. S during 1991～2001. In order to quicken the basic and applied basic research of GIS, we advice NSFC to increase the award GIS programs quantities step by step, support excellent multi-corporation and multi-disciplines’ GIS research communities, and add GIS items in the Guide to Programs of NSFC.
