Research on the General Development Method of Auto Start-Stop System for Nuclear Power Plant

Abstract

During startup and shutdown of a pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plant, it involves a large number of operations on pumps, valves, electric heaters and control rods, and needs to take into account the close coordination of the operating status of each system. At present, the start-stop control is mainly realized by manual operation of the operator, which is very demanding for the operator, and is not only prone to leakage and mis-operation, but even has the risk of causing the unit to deviate from normal operation. Application of advanced automation and intelligent technology to realize automatic start/stop of nuclear power units, which is extremely important in theory and practical significance for the improvement of the operational safety and economics of nuclear power plants. In this paper, PWR nuclear power plant is used as the object of study, analyzes and forms the overall development route of automatic start-stop system for nuclear power plant, and divides into three stages: system R&D and design, logic configuration implementation, system commissioning operation. Then the paper puts forward the specific working methods, principles and step suggestions for each stage of work, so as to lay a solid foundation for the subsequent R&D and application of the automatic start-stop system in nuclear power plants.
