Abstract
In order to realize the data transmission between the tube model and NC tube bender, setting up a digitized tube-bending system is urgently needed. A CATIA-based data-model transformation system of NC tube bending was developed by using VB, which achieves three functions: generating XYZ-coordinates from CATIA models, transforming XYZ-coordinates to YBC-coordinates and parametric modeling tube bending. The result lays a foundation for realizing advanced and digitized tube bending system.
