Abstract

This chapter aims to provide insights gained from teaching a subject on leadership and intrapersonal development in the university setting. The teacher reflects upon how her previous working experience influenced the teaching of the subject and the development of professionalism in the university setting. It is concluded that a teacher has to first understand and know oneself and this self-awareness benefits student learning.
