Abstract
Reaction of [N(PPh3)2][Os3(μ-H)(CO)11] with [Cu(PPh3)2BH4] in CH2Cl2at room temperature affords [Os3(μ-H)(μ-OH)(CO)10] (1) and two isomers 2a and 2b with a molecular formula [Os3(μ-H)(μ-OH)(CO)8(PPh3)2]. Clusters 1, 2a and 2b are all air- and moisture-stable and have been fully characterized by IR, NMR, MS and X-ray crystallography. The molecular structures of 2a and 2b are different in the substitution positions of the PPh3.
