Abstract

Recuperation is a traditional Chinese cultural custom for woman who delivered her baby to take a monthly rest at home or recuperation center (a place where offers mother and baby caring services). Recuperation center industry has been blooming because of maternity needs. Due to the social transition, more modern women devote themselves to work instead of taking care of traditional household works. As a result, nursery industry was introduced to assist family to take care of their children. However, both recuperation service industry and nursery service industry neglected the mental needs of mother's social support and living pressure. The aim of this research is to develop a service innovation model of creative life center using service activities and information technology to fulfill mother's social support and improve family's sense of living arts in the definition of life and creative industry. Case study and action research were conducted to find out and to solve the family's issues on the thesis of value chain. Conclusion is that the creative life center offers innovative services to improve mother's social support and family's sense of living arts base on the infrastructure and information resources of recuperation center, meanwhile, this case can also build up its'niche of substantial advantages in the life and creative industries.
