Abstract
This chapter aims to illustrate the importance of public relations skills during a drug recall crisis. The proper crisis management in a drug recall is necessary for the manufacturer to reduce the impact on its reputation. It is also important for the government to retain the public’s confidence in their ability to protect citizens’ health. In a large scale drug recall, which involves a vast number of patients making it difficult to contact those affected patients, the government should coordinate the whole drug recall procedure so that the chaos can be minimized and general public will find the government to be a caring organization looking after Hong Kong’s citizens.
