Abstract

The solid solution Sn0.5Ti0.5O2was prepared by a high-energy ball milling process from the oxide mixture of SnO2and TiO2. Calcination at 700°C led to crystallization of Sn0.5Ti0.5O2in the 5-h milled powders. Results showed that the phase separation took place at 1000°C and the separated phases were stable at 1100°C.
