Abstract
The predictive signal-to-interference power ratio (SIR) based closed-loop power control in code division multiple access mobile systems was studied to achieve a common received signal strength. Also a power control algorithm to issue power control commands based on the estimated optimum transmission powers of the mobiles was proposed. The simulations performed showed that the proposed power control scheme achieved a lower outage probability compared with conventional power control at optimum threshold.
